Environmental Policy

 

  1. Introduction
    a) MM Electrical and Design Ltd recognises the responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory
        requirements. The overall responsibility of environmental impact and policy development lies with the Proprietor,
        Mickele Maytil. It will also be any individual’s responsibility to ensure they meet the company’s policy expectations
        throughout their employment process.
    b) MM Electrical and Design Ltd recognises and accepts its responsibilities under the Environment Act 2021, including
        the responsibility to:
        i. Resource efficiency and reduce waste
        ii. Minimise contributary factors that reduce air quality
        iii. Control the keeping and use of dangerous substances
        iv. Provide information, instruction, training, and supervision as is necessary

  2. Environmental Targets
    a) Meet and, where appropriate, exceed the requirements of current and future relevant legislation
    b) Minimise transportation use, ensuring routes are planned for efficiency and to reduce emissions
    c) Recycle and reuse, where possible
    d) Dispose of all waste following guidelines
    e) Work with, and monitor our suppliers to minimise the impact of their operations on the environment through our
        quality purchasing policy which includes related human rights, moral and ethical issues
    f) Reduce noise pollution to as minimal as possible
    g) Prioritise the use of electronic communication rather than paper-based
    h) Minimise the amount of energy used per task
    i) Prioritise the use of environmentally friendly, recycled and efficient products

  3. Proprietor’s Duties
    a) The Proprietor takes responsibility for the environmental impact throughout the company to protect the natural
        environment and that affected by the Business’ operations, one will:
        i. Be aware of the Environment Act 2021
        ii. Ensure that environmental factors are incorporated into business decisions
        iii. Ensure that employees receive sufficient information and training
        iv. Ensure the Business’ environmental impact is monitored and act if there are any issues
        v. Ensure that there is sufficient paperwork to comply with relevant statutory obligations

    This policy will be reviewed regularly and updated if there is any change in circumstance or Law.
